Perks Rewards Program Terms and Conditions


  1. Program is open to all legal residents of the United States and Canada who have reached the age of majority in their state or province of residence. You ("Member") are responsible for maintaining accurate and updated contact information including name, telephone number and e-mail address ("Member Information"). Member Information may be updated at any PAPYRUS, Carlton Cards, American Greetings or Paper Destiny store or by contacting Customer Service at 707-399-3775.
  2. No purchase necessary to join. Program is void where prohibited by law.
  3. Membership is non-transferable. One membership per person. Membership has no cash value.
  4. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, sale access, event invitations, discounts, coupons, and/or services offered from time to time in Schurman Fine Papers’ sole discretion. Any such benefits may be subject to restrictions including, but not limited to, expiration dates, time-limited redemption periods and purchase requirements. Membership and any benefits are personal to Member and cannot be sold, shared, copied or transferred. Benefits may be subject to tax liability. Any tax liability, including disclosure, connected with Program benefits is the sole responsibility of Member.

Any such changes, amendments or modifications shall be effective upon posting at, and Member waives any right to receive prior or specific notice of such changes, amendments or modifications. It is Member's responsibility to review these Terms and Conditions from time to time to remain informed of any changes, amendments or modifications. Participation in Program confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and any changes, amendments, or modifications.
  7. By joining Program, Member consents and agrees that Schurman Fine Papers and any of its affiliates, service providers, or agents may collect, use and/or disclose Member Information and Member shopping and/or purchasing history to communicate with Member, to better understand Member's shopping and information needs, to offer the Member relevant information, promotions, products, services, and rewards, and to support the Program. Members consent to receive such communication, information and offers by joining Program, but may opt out of promotional communication at any time. Schurman Fine Papers is not responsible for blocked email communications or incorrect addresses. Member Information may be stored in the United States and may be subject to lawful access requests, which may differ from Canadian law. All Member Information will be collected, stored, and used in accordance with Schurman Fine Papers' privacy policy which Member agrees to be bound by and can be found at: Schurman Fine Papers does not sell Member Information.
  8. Schurman Fine Papers has the sole discretion to interpret and apply Program and/or these Terms and Conditions, and all questions or disputes regarding Program and/or these Terms and Conditions will be resolved by Schurman Fine Papers in its sole discretion.
  9. By participating in the Program, each Member agrees that any dispute or claim relating in any way to the Program will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court. Each Member acknowledges and agrees that he/she is waiving his/her right to sue in court for such disputes. There is no judge or jury in arbitration, and court review of an arbitration award is limited. To begin an arbitration proceeding, the Member must send a letter requesting arbitration and describing his/her claim to Schurman Fine Papers' registered agent: Corporation Service Company, 2710 Gateway Oaks Dr., Ste. 150N Sacramento CA 95833. The arbitration will be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its rules, including the AAA's Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes. The AAA's rules are available at or by calling 1-800-778-7879. Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA's rules. Schurman Fine Papers will reimburse those fees for claims totaling less than $10,000 unless the arbitrator determines the claims are frivolous. Likewise, Schurman Fine Papers will not seek attorneys' fees and costs in arbitration unless the arbitrator determines the claims are frivolous. The Member may choose to have the arbitration conducted by telephone, based on written submissions, or in person in the county where the Member resides or at another mutually agreed location. Each Member agrees that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated or representative action. By participating in the Program, each Member agrees that the Federal Arbitration Act, applicable federal law, and the laws of the state of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern any dispute or claim relating in any way to the Program.
  10. Any failure of Member to comply with any of these Terms or Conditions or any violation, fraud or abuse of Program may result in termination of membership in Schurman Fine Papers' sole discretion.
