Planning Advice

DO

  1. Send Save-the-Date announcements 6 – 9 months prior to your event to notify out of town guests to reserve your special day.
  2. Rely on our Papyrus Custom Printing Experts to provide tips on proper etiquette and wording.
  3. Order your Wedding Trousseau, including invitations, response cards, reception cards and informals a minimum of 4 months prior to your event.
  4. Remember to order 25 extra invitations for additional guests that might not be included on your original guest list.
  5. Utilize our pre-ordering service for envelopes so you can begin addressing your envelopes ahead of time.
  6. Inquire about our hand-calligraphy services.
  7. Address invitations to name of person “and Guest” if is acceptable for them to bring a date.
  8. Be sure to include “and children” or “and family” when addressing your invitations if the children are welcome at your ceremony and/or reception.

DON’T

  1. Forget to order informals or personalized stationery to send thank you notes for the wedding, bridal showers and other hand-written, personal notes of thanks to all of those who helped make your day and the events leading up to your day special.
  2. Use white out or cross out incorrect information on envelopes, invitations or personalized stationery.
  3. Forget to order gifts for the attendants…Papyrus has a great offering of personalized items suitable for this purpose including leather products and a fantastic offering of stationery .
  4. Forget to affix first class postage on your response cards. Be sure to include the cost for the postage when planning your budget.
  5. Forget to order your wedding favors at Papyrus. We offer both personalized and non-personalized options. Ask our in store Experts…they can help with suggestions!
