Condolence

One of the most difficult forms of communication to compose is a condolence letter. It need not be a lengthy note, but should include a touching story or fond memory of the deceased. These letters are to express comfort and compassion for the loss of a loved one.

  • Acknowledge the loss.
  • Express your sympathy.
  • Note special qualities of the deceased.
  • Recount a memory.
  • Offer assistance to the family, as appropriate.
